Approval of New Posts and Programmes
Approval is ultimately given by the GMC on the basis of applications made by the relevant deanery using the forms available on the GMC's website. However, in considering these, the GMC requires formal confirmation that the Royal College of Radiologists is supportive of the application. To facilitate this, in the first instance, the regional adviser should advise the College that it is intended to make an application. The relevant form should then be completed and sent to the Education Administrator.
- Form 1: Application for support of a new training post(s) within an existing approved training location (hospital or department)
- Form 2: Application for support of a new training location (hospital or department) within an existing training programme (scheme)
- Any plans with regard to the creation of a new training programme (scheme) should be discussed with the Education Administrator at an early stage.
